Dr Anna Fazzini is a post-doctoral researcher in International Law at the University of Naples L'Orientale, where she also obtained her PhD in 2022. Author of several articles in class A journals and in volumes, she published her first monograph, entitled “The Externalisation of Border Controls and the Responsibility of European States: The Case Italy-Libya” in 2023. She has participated in national and international projects, including the Jean Monnet Network “M.A.P.S. - Migration and Asylum Policies Systems” (Director: prof. Giuseppe Cataldi). She was a visiting researcher at the University of Amsterdam in November 2023. Her research interests concern the international protection of human rights and migrants, state responsibility and environmental and climate law.

Dr. Anna Liguori hold a Diploma of Advanced European Studies (College of Europe-Belgium) and PhD in European Law (SUN University of Naples). She is currently Associate Professor of International Law at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”. She spent visiting periods at Max Planck Institute of International law in Heidelberg, Queen Mary University of London, Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Cordoba, Pedro Arrupe Human Rights Institute of University of Deusto, Bilbao. She has participated in international projects, such as the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Migrants' Rights in the Mediterranean, as member of the Steering Committee, and the Jean Monnet Network "MAPS – Migration and Asylum Policy Systems. Weaknesses, Shortcomings and Reform Proposals", as Key Staff Member. She is currently P.I. of a University Project on Anthropocene/Capitalocene and International Migrations. A critical reading”. Her research interests concern migration, asylum, human rights, climate change and the responsibility of States and International Organizations.
